Privacy
This website is published by Danilo Poccia. You can read it without accepting optional analytics.
Visitor statistics
When enabled, optional analytics use PostHog Cloud EU (Frankfurt) to understand visits, approximate reading engagement, collection navigation, code-copy actions, viewer openings, simulator starts, book-download clicks, which agent tools are used (the tool name and whether it worked) and which kind of on-device model starts the reading assistant.
Analytics start only after you choose Accept analytics. PostHog uses a first-party cookie with a pseudonymous browser identifier to estimate repeat visits. It receives the page path, referring domain, browser/device details and the selected action. Your connection also exposes your IP address to the service, which may be used for approximate location. We do not send URL query strings, fragment text, form contents, search terms, code contents, AI prompts, questions or answers. Session recordings and automatic interaction recording are disabled.
We remember your choice in this browser for up to 180 days using local storage. Analytics cookies expire after up to 180 days without renewal. Event retention is up to one year under the configured free plan. No separate export archive is currently configured. Refusing analytics does not prevent access to content.
Use Privacy settings in the footer whenever analytics are enabled to change your choice. Withdrawal stops future collection and clears the analytics identifier on this browser; it does not automatically delete previously collected events.
Read PostHog’s privacy policy for details of the service and its processing.
Embedded content
External viewers load when you choose Load viewer. The external provider then receives your connection and may apply its own privacy and cookie policies. Analytics consent is separate. You can use the ordinary external link instead. Reading inside external documents or videos is not measured unless a supported integration is explicitly added.
On-device features
Search runs in your browser; search terms are not sent anywhere. When you run a Python example, the browser downloads the Pyodide runtime from jsDelivr. When you start the reading assistant, it uses your browser's built-in model if there is one; otherwise, after you choose Download, the browser downloads an open model (about 2 GB) from Hugging Face and its runtime from jsDelivr, and keeps the model in this site's browser storage until you choose Clear downloaded model. Those providers receive your connection like any download. Your questions, the page text the assistant reads and its answers stay in your browser and are not saved after you close the page.
Browser AI agents can use the tools described on theFor AI agents page; what an agent does with the page is governed by the agent you chose.
Hosting and questions
The site is hosted with AWS Amplify. Hosting services process technical requests to deliver and protect the site; optional analytics controls do not disable those essential requests.
For privacy questions or data requests, contact Danilo through the profiles on the About page. Analytics identifiers are not linked to a login or your name, so locating a particular visitor’s historic events may require additional information.
